diydata.com is one of the longest established DIY websites aimed at the UK DIY audience - we went live in May 2000. Ever since the launch we have been increasing our content and the visitors we attract.

By using diydata.com for your advertising, you place your products/services in front of the thousands of potential customers who visit diydata every day. We understand the cost of advertising and we believe that there is no better value on the web.

To keep administration straightforward, diydata has flat charges for 12 months, pro rata for 6 months (but with a discount if you want adverts on more than one page).

Simple text adverts:

• Text adverts can be one or more lines long, the important thing is the number of characters, the maximum is 25 characters - the link to the URL of your choice can be part or all of the text displayed. Text adverts are normally in the side bar within a highlighted framed, the frame may include the links of more than one advertiser (unless otherwise is requested).
• We do not accept duplication and near duplication of existing text links on a page - so once we accept your text, you won't see a duplication and near duplication of it on the same web page.
• Your text links links may be added to any page you choose (other than contributed pages)
• BUT, we reserve the right to decline to add any advert to any page.
  
• Text links pointing to the same external website are limited to a maximum of three per page.
• For multi-pages, there is no need to have the same link text or link on each page, the discounts apply per advertiser.
• Each text can be linked to any page on your own web site you request.

Graphic and 'random banner' adverts:

• Two banner style are accepted (width x height):
  1. Horizontal, maximum 468 x 60 pixel - for page head display.
  2. Vertical, maximum actual size 120 x 120 pixel - for side bar display.
  Any size within these maximum's can be accommodated.
• Animated gif banners can be accommodated but we do not accept Flash animations. We design for fast download times and consider that Flash has too great an effect upon this.
• Usually advertisers supply the banner for inclusion, normally jpeg or gif files. Banners up to 15k computer file size can be accepted.
• Your graphics may be added to any page you choose (other than contributed pages) or, alternatively, 468 x 60 banners can be included in our 'random banner program'.
• BUT we reserve the right to decline to add any advert to any page.

Random banner program

This is ideal for those website which have a wide range of diy themes, there's no need to restrict advertising to a single page or buy multi-page coverage.

As each non-contributed page on diydata.com is visited, a random banner will be displayed - there are no more than 20 banners in the program at any one time, so each graphic should be displayed on about 1 in 20 pages downloaded.

We can accept 468 x 60 banner graphics for inclusion in our 'random banner program'.
